The Velveteen Rabbit received its World Premiere by the students at Minnie Gant Elementary School in February 2010. A second Long Beach performance was mounted by children's theatre company GO-FAME at the CSULB University Theatre in January 2011. Since then, licensing rights have been approved for productions throughout California, and in Indiana, South Dakota, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Virginia.
